When switching from Joomla 1.5 to 2.5, you will notice when editing an article that there is no longer the option to change the author, created date, publishing date, or expiration date that is readily available.
To easily change any of these, follow the steps below and you'll quickly be on your way.
1. Login to your Joomla admin. Using your username and password login to your Joomla admin at: www.yourdomain.com/administrator

2. Article Manager. From the top "Content" menu > "Article Manager" > "Add New Article" or open an existing article in the Article Manager.
3. Configure Edit Screen. In the right column once in the article, click on the "Configure Edit Screen" tab. Then for "Show Publishing Options" select "Yes".

4. Save. This will refresh the article and then new options will show.
5. Publishing Options. Now at the top of the right column, the tab "Publishing Options" is shown. This will allow you to now change the author, created date, publishing and finish publishing dates.
